Prince Edward St Gladesville
Prince Edward St Gladesville
The photo above this shows the house before the renovations and still with its For Sale sign out front.
After the birth of their son Harper, Gully, Julie, Imogen and Harper needed more space than their newly renovated house in Trivetts Lane (illustrated later in this section), which only had one and a half bedrooms. They sold Trivetts Lane and bought this house in Prince Edward St Gladesville.
The latest photo of the front of the house showing the restored front awning and window, the new bedroom on the right, the new front fence and revised colour scheme.
Here are the back and side views of the house.
The house is in the Municipality of Hunters Hill and is heritage-listed as a contributory item to the character of the area. Plans were drawn and submitted to Council for alterations and additions to this two bedroom house to convert it into a house more suited to family living and to provide an outdoor living area. Construction started in late October 2007 when Gully took a month off work and got his mate Joe McKinney to come down from the Central Coast to help with the build. The family remained in residence for the four week blitz
FLOOR PLAN The new bedrooms, sitting room and deck are at the rear of the existing house and step down to follow the slope of the land. The existing front par of the house is maintained as is its appearance in the street, which is to be enhanced with the restoration of the front window and awning.
Architect, builder and Harper consider the layout of the foundations as the floor framing to the rear of the house is installed.
